Equalizes voltage on the contactor leads before closing to eliminate their burnout due to high inrush current

Checks that the contactors are open and closed when signaled. The battery will not operate with faulty contactors to prevent accidental drive-off with the charger connector plugged-in

To minimize battery failures due to environmental exposure like Moisture and Dust, all cover joints are protected with gaskets and sealants.
